So this week marks the start of year 2 for the Class of 2012. We are settled into our new homes and learning our way around the new communities and CHC sites. I am residing Beaufort, SC. Great food and southern hospitality. I have learned so much in the short time I have been here, amazing since school hasn’t even started yet. There is such rich history and diversity here that everywhere you turn there is something new to see or do. We live in an area surrounded by various islands and bodies of water. Dr. Polkey has been showing us the in’s and out’s of everything and is a great mentor for the students.
I would say the biggest events of the week outside of school is the fact that we are in hurricane season. Bill came through and did little, but it looks like the next round may give us a little more of something. I hope not because with the rain we do get Kevin (another 2nd year) and I are finding out how fast each of our lawns grows…..not fun to mow all the time but it gets us outside. Of course, there really is not need for an excuse to go outside here!
That’s about it for now, but if you have questions about life, the program or anything else drop me a line I would be more than happy to chat!
