In the adjustment I have been a little slow at getting this up. Classes are going good and I am still organizing my method of watching/reading the material and studying. I think I have final got the patterns down that work for me. I do enjoy working on my own time frame and find the focus much better at home or at the local coffee shop. I must admit, you can’t beat the view if you can look out at water and beautiful scenary while you study. Clinic is really good! I have learned a great deal so far and have completely enjoyed getting to know and work with patients. This week is my first time in the pediatric clinic and I can’t wait!!! Peds is where my heart is and have been waiting all month for my turn. I am also excited to get to work with Dr. Polkey, our facilitator.
Outside of class, there isn’t much time to explore, but I am trying to make study breaks work for me and I have ventured to Savannah for a short visit. I went to Charleston when I first got here, before school started, and it was gorgeous with so much history. It is an amazing area.
I am not sure if any 1st years read this, but I know that you are starting to look at where you might want to go next year. Shoot me any questions you have about how we work down here and concerns. I am the SOMA2 rep for the SC campus so I am more than happy to skype with you or help you find information you may need.
