“This is a pivotal year for WCN,” comments, President Tyree Davis. “At the February Leadership Retreat, the Board of Directors voted to move forward with becoming an independent 501 (c)(3) organization. This will allow WCN to focus on its major mission with the priority goal of assisting leaders of community health centers with recruitment and retention of clinical leaders. We are fortunate that we have received financial support from Northern and Southern Kaiser Permanente to support the strategic planning and program development process. We also want to express our appreciation to United Health Centers for serving as our interim fiscal agent and to AT Still University for providing ongoing teleconference and website support. Please make plans to join us in September for the 16th Annual WCN Leadership Conference at the beautiful conference center provided by The California Endowment for what we know will be another inspiring annual event.”
